Project Management & Technical Experience:

  • 5–10+ years of experience managing large-scale data center infrastructure or critical environment projects.
  • Proven experience delivering structured cabling projects involving high volumes of copper cabling, fiber patching, MOP implementation, rack connectivity, and large-scale labeling activities.
  • Strong understanding of data hall environments, white space deployment, rack/row layouts, and structured cabling standards.
Experience Managing Installation teams:
  • Copper cabling (Cat6/Cat6A)
  • Fibre optic cabling and patching
  • Rack dressing and cable management
  • Labeling and documentation compliance
  • Testing and commissioning activities
  • Familiarity with Method of Procedure (MOP), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and change management processes within live data center environments.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, general contractors, and data center operations teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and vendors simultaneously.
  • Strong Understanding:
    • TIA/EIA structured cabling standards
    • Data centre best practices
    • QA/QC procedures
    • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) compliance
  • Experience Project Management / Reporting Tools:
    • Microsoft Project
    • Excel
    • AutoCAD/Visio
    • Ticketing or DCIM systems
  • Ability to Read and Interpret:
    • IFC drawings
    • Cable schedules
    • Rack elevations
    • Network layouts
    • As-built documentation
  • Experience in fast-track or live operational data center environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of structured cabling projects within large data center halls.
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation activities related to copper and fiber cabling, patching, labeling, and rack connectivity.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, and work progress.
  • Ensure all installation works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements.
  • Coordinate MOP activities and ensure all works in live environments are executed safely and according to approved procedures.
  • Lead daily coordination meetings with site teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
  • Track and Manage:
    • Material deliveries
    • Installation progress
    • Testing results
    • Snag rectification
    • Documentation submissions
  • Review and Validate:
    • Patch schedules
    • Labeling schemes
    • Test reports
    • As-built drawings
  • Ensure proper cable management, routing, and labeling standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor QA/QC compliance and conduct regular site inspections.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and delays, and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Prepare regular project reports, progress updates, and status presentations for management and clients.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety requirements and site access procedures.
  • Support procurement and logistics coordination for cabling materials and installation tools.
  • Manage project closeout activities, including final documentation and client sign-off.
 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Telecommunications
    • Information Technology
    • Project Management
    • Or related technical discipline
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification is an advantage.
  • BICSI certification (Installer, Technician, or RCDD) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards and data center infrastructure best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and project scheduling tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced project environments.
  • Willingness to work on-site and support night/weekend maintenance windows when required.
  • Experience in hyperscale or enterprise data center projects is highly desirable.
